COMPUTER ink jet PRINTERS- do they all fail after a year or so?

I have owned 2 Canon ink jet printers. I mostly use them for b&w printing but I print a page of color about once every 2 weeks. After a year, they seem to start printing funny colors and lines on images that I seemingly cant correct thru head alignment, head cleaning etc. Do all jet printers eventually do this? Is it planned absolescence? Can I resurrect my printer to specs?

We are planning to create a garden pond. There is an existing walled area on the sunny side of the garden which used to house a pond (we asked the former owners to remove it because we had small children and dogs). How long does a landlord have to fix a burst pipe, minnesota?

a little more then a month ago our outdoor hose pipe that goes through my bedroom burst and went through the drywall and all over my tv, computer, walls, ceiling, carpet. It took them a week to come over and just look at it. 3 weeks ped and I called asking when they are going to fix the piping. "oh we have been very busy and been gone on vacation the ped few weekends( just on weekends at home on the weekdays) but we have been 'thinking' about coming over soon to fix it"... 13 day late period- what is going on?

I am 31. 13 days late period. Although today I have a lil bloody mucus when I wipe. Have felt tired last 3 days. Light headed. Even some slight nausea. Non of these symptoms are normal for me. My 3 month daughter has various "bumps" on her head!!?

She is 3 months old and was born via c-section and her head is slightly misshapen! If you sit her on your lap with her facing forward, her forehead is slightly "raised" to the right! I am wondering if she may have laid that way in my pelvis, I am really worried and I guess you could say that I am a hypochondriac and I am the type of person that worries over "nothing" but this is my child, my life! And she has been to the doctors numerous times for her shots and a few other concerns like a blocked tear duck and her well baby checks!! Termite infestation in less than 5 hrs my house was over runnn by friggin termites?

i first noticed this sandy buildup around the foucet to my bath tub and tought it was weird rust, 3 days earlier and yesterday i saw a good plenty crawling around in my bath tub eww! drowned the creeps then i looked around and found these same sandy mounds on the wall and ceiling, guess you'd call it sawdust?, i swiped the one on the wall with a washclothe and saw tunnel like holes into my wall i made plans to call the exterminator and basically went about my day then around 5 hrs later when i came back home they where everywhere covering all the linoleum floor in the room sharing this same bathroom wall in the batroom they cover the floor toilet and sink almost entirely the clothes in my clothset the carpet almost evrywhere was covered in termites, YES I am CERTAIN these are Termites, i used the strongest foggers i could find and set them off in an attempt to kill the little atrocities, has anyone heard of an out break like this! im freaked out!!!

I'm "sick" too (i have bipolar and suffer from severe depressive swings) but that doesn't excuse bad behavior and it sounds like that's what your mom is doing. I have had a failed marriage and severe abandonment issues because of it as he did just walk out on me and the kids one day and never came back but, it doesn't mean I can freak out anytime I choose and blame it on being sick. We still have the ability to be decent human beings and it sounds like your mother is using her illness as a crutch to keep you where she wants you. Maybe therapy will be good for you because you can tell her in a "safe" environment you need to cut the apron strings because there comes a time in your life when you have to live it for yourself and your mother is interfering in that and she doesn't have that right.

I cried in front of my professor...what should I do?

This morning my friend told me that he cheated on an exam and had admitted it to the teacher due to his guilty conscience. Since he was looking off my paper, the professor believed that I was an accomplice when I really had no idea what he was doing. When I tried to explain that I was not involved, I started crying when the teacher did not believe me. It was important for me to convince her because the penalty for cheating is to be kicked out of the university..which I didn't deserve. Feelings of betrayal and disappointment overwhelmed me and I lost it. She ended up only penalizing my friend and letting me go....however I'm embarred at my behavior. Would it be appropriate to send an email and apologize for my behavior or just leave it alone since I was not penalized? Thanks...

I am so sorry that you have had and are having so much suffering. What makes so much worse is the apparent lack of honesty of your doctors. I have had cancer twice once in a kidney and then last year in the - both primary growths which was very lucky! On each occasion my doctor acted very quickly and so did Salisbury hospital. At all times my doctors were honest with me giving me a clear diagnosis and even showing me the CT scans. When something went wrong on the operating table when my kidney was removed they were open and honest about what happened and I received wonderful care. I nearly died on the operating table but I'm a Christian and my church and people all over the world were praying for me and I know that this is what saved me. Your first doctor should have not fobbed you off with a down right lie he must have known they weren't polyps. I also don't understand it when you say that they have not tested you for cancer cells. The first thing doctors do is to take blood samples and these are tested for the cells that is how the diagnosis starts. So you will have been tested because you will have had blood tests. As to what cancer feels like that is difficult I was in a lot of pain with the kidney but once I knew what I was fighting somehow the fear and worry went away. I just thought "OK so that's it is it best get on with it"! With cancer there was no pain just a lump. I truly believe that if you can get over the fear of the word cancer you can cope much better. I wish you every success in your battle against your illness and really pray that the Specialist you are going to see will be able to help and will answer all your questions.

About a year ago i noticed two quite large Pink reddish swelling type things in my nose. They're squishy but they don't cause any pain. Occasionally, I find it quite difficult to breath through my nose, mostly at night. Also it looks like they change size over night, sometimes bigger and sometimes smaller. It is quite unlikely to be symptoms of a cold because i have had them all through last summer and spring. They are there all day and I keep having to sniff to stop my nose from dripping snot :L. my friend and i met 9th grade year and have been close ever since ( almost sisterly)..recently we've been realizing that we have so many things in common. and even people realize it without knowing themselves. for example a random girl walks up to us and asks if we're best friends. and other example is our teachers mix up our names even though we never talked or sat by each other in cl.. and we look totally different (im african american, and she's latino). it seems as though our minds work together automatically. the teachers wonder why we get done with our work so fast when we work together.. even strategic puzzles we solve in an instant. we also realized connections with our boyfriends. for instance both of our ex's turned out to be best friends in the long run. and both of our boyfriends got kicked out of the same school. they are both older. listen to the same exact music. we have different styles but, you can say we accentuate each other. even our teachers say we have a crazy connection going on. sometimes we even speak in synchronization. this may be irrelevant but we have the same phone carrier, were like the only friends we have left that have that phone carrier. also we talk on the phone and we later realize we were doing the same thing before we got on the phone. we act like twins without even knowing. be mindful that we met in ninth grade, lolz we were born on entirely two different sides of the united states.. i have a feeling that if i never met her in high school., i probably would have met her some time in the future...by mutual friends... what do you think this crazy connection could be. because we're really curious.

Well one day (when I was around 13 years old) I found my birth certificate and saw that the person I called my dad was not under the "father" name.. I was so saddened by this. I met my biological father when I was 16 (I am currently 19). Even up to this day I often become very depressed. Ever since I found out my "dad" has acted different towards me. I think that you should tell her ASAP.. She's still young so it won't hit her as hard.. I think that if I wouldve found out at this age I'd go crazy. I do have to warn u though.. How to use 4 wheel drive on my 2006 Kia Sorento crossover?

I have a 2006 Kia Sorento crossover and I think I may be using the 4 wheel drive feature wrong. I have only tried it when it was snowy or icy, never on dry roads, but it seems to get stuck in 4 wheel drive even when I take it out. Eventually it sounds and feels normal again. What is the proper way to use it? Can I switch it into (and out of) 4 wheel drive while moving or should I wait until I am stopped. My friend lost a baby a few years back at 6 months. It was very hard for her she was angry for a long time. She cursed God she yelled at unwed mothers. I explained to her that the baby was sick and that God wanted her to have a healthy baby and that she needed to be patient and understand that she had no control over his timing and had to wait. She got pregnant about a month later. As soon as she allowed her mind to focus on the good around her I was throwing her a baby shower. Her son is perfect and 2 years old now. I know people who tried for years and then have the most amazing most prepared for babies. I know other ladies that suffered mulitiple miscarriages that go on to have two normal pregnancies right after. Technology allows us to know about pregnancies that used to just be thought of a late period, your body is made to accept and nuture a viable fetus. Trust your body, relax and it will come. When it does enjoy every moment of it. Create a journal, and keep it for your baby. Write down how you feel what your hopes are etc. Good luck and get ready!!

Granola Bar Question?

Today, when I was munching on a granola bar, I discovered something strange. I don't usually have granola bars, but when I swallowed the first bite, itfelt like I was eating something very familiar. I then thought to myself, this is young gr, I've eaten this on a dare before. When I spit out the contents, I had seen numerous tiny seedlings of gr, just a few millimeters across. My friend, who was eating the same thing for the first time noticed the same thing. Then when we looked up a grain of granola under a microscope at home, we did in fact see immature seedlings just sprouting out. Is it normal to find such things in a granola bar? I do know that this in fact is known as germ, because the plant has barely germinated out of its seed. I also know that wheat and barley germ is used in brewing beer and several foods as reported on their labels. If this is the case, I find grain and beer to be disgusting, and will never eat it again. Is this so?

i think it is most likely old age ... and just treat her normally ... my dog went blind and deaf and he got around okay, i just treated him without pity ... it is just part of life getting old and while going blind is not good, it is also not the worst thing that could happen ... if the dog has been in the same environment for a long time they really do adjust quite well ... and your dog probably won't go completely blind, more like he can see shadows ... do things with him that use his nose and ears ... with my dog i would have him sit in the kitchen and then go and hide treats (in pretty obvious places, he was blind after all) and he would then go and find them ... so don't feel sorry for your dog, accept she is getting old and you keep happy so she does too :O)

Cannot Stop Coughing... Help..!?

I have this cough that's lasted for about 3 weeks now. I have no fever just phlegm (lots of it). Recently I started to have a running nose, but not until 3 days ago. And when i breath in it is fine, but sometimes tickles (thus causing me to cough) and unless i breath in all the way with my diaphragm filled, then it sounds a little like a soft soft whistle (only at the very last moment in the inhalation). When i breath out it is completely fine, but just the very last moment in the exhalation it creates this nasty gasping sound.... I have no clue whether it is a viral or bacterial infection. I'm afraid the doctor would give me the wrong diagnosis and end up taking antibiotics for a virus. I have never had this happened to me before, im actually kinda scared (the sound made when full inhalation and exhalation ...). Please let me know if you have some guidance.

How do I get my daughter off of bottle?

I'm trying to wean my 16 month old off of the bottle. I have tried pretty much every type of sippy cup there is. From ones with to ones with straws and ones with spouts. There are two problems. She has no idea how to tip a sippy cup or her bottle for that matter. The other problem is that I have finally found a sippy cup that she can use because she doesn't have to tip it at all because it's the kind with a straw that goes all the way to the bottom of the sippy cup. She was using it fine with just water in it yesterday. This morning I have replaced one of her bottles and put the milk in the sippy cup. She drank the milk fine, but she refuses to drink water out of it now. I have no Idea what to do because she won't let me feed her water from the bottle and she won't use this sippy cup now, this is the ONLY sippy cup she is able to use. This problem has been going on for weeks no with me trying to get her to use a sippy cup that she has become dehydrated and it's caused her to become constipated. I have had to take her to the doctor to get a laxative for her because she went 9 days without going poop. This is now again the 7th day without her going poop. I have been giving her the laxative everyday, but because of her not getting any fluids except for milk, the medication isn't working. I'm at a loss for what to do. Any help?

Our garage walls are ready to be finished with either paneling or drywall. Several questions - which is cheaper to do? Which is easier? Which is quickest? I have some experience with paneling and it is fairly easy to work with - around light switches and things and I know I can get some decent looking paneling for around $10 to $12 a sheet. I have been divorced for two years now. I have been involved with someone for quite some time now. This man wants to take my daughter, along with his daughters, on a sledding get away which is going to be across the state. My ex-husband states that if I let her go that he will call the police on this man as he insists that this man was the reason for our divorce. Our divorce papers do not state that I need permission to take our daughter across the state line. I know my daughter is safe in this man's hands, and she became very upset when her Dad said she couldn't go. Her father is not active in her life. He tells her he will see her and not show up. I called the police dept to let them know of the situation and that I gave her my permission to go on the trip. We both have joint custody, but I have resedential custody. It 's obvious that my ex is doing this out of hate for the other man and is not thinking of her feelings. Have I done the wrong thing by letting her go?
