How much to stain about 1000 sqft of interior concrete?

Moving into a new place and comparing tile/stain/wood floors. About how much to stain about 1000 sqft of interior concrete slab. We want that dark shiny brown look. Almost like a wood varnish look. It would seem to me that b/c you don't have to buy tile or wood staining would be much cheaper? anyone have any idea? I was looking at some advertisements on craigslist but they all want to come out to get an estimate. Please no stupid/sarcastic responses or pointless advertisements. You will be flagged down.
