My dad phoned me 2 days after he died?

how is there some sort of after death fone call he can make. it was very distorted sort of the longest distance all crackled and faded he asked where i was and what i'd been doing then at the end he scream MICHAEL AM DEAD then the line went dead did the devil give him a last fone call or something
