Why is swearing so bad?

No word is bad. Can a word physically punch you in the face? I don't understand how f*ck cr*p sh*t ect are "bad" words. It is just a word! It does not physically beat someone in the face so how can it be so bad. My words have no, or should have no, effect on you. Also in society today I will not say that a child should be saying these words since they will show how a "bad parent" I would be. But there are no bad words! What makes it so bad to say f*ck.. F*ck f*ck f*ck nothing happend!
